Low dose Genius 3D mammography™ exams
Genius exams using Intelligent 2D or C-View synthesized images offers a clinically superior exam compared to 2D with radiation dose comparable to standard 2D imaging. 21,29 Intelligent 2D technology generates sharp synthesized 2D images from the 70-micron high-resolution 3D data, eliminating the need for an additional 2D exposure during a 3D™ exam. C-View synthesized images are created from standard resolution images.
Minimize time under compression
Eliminating the need for a separate 2D exam minimizes patient time under compression. The 3.7-second continuous tomosynthesis scan minimizes risk of patient motion and less time under compression provides a more comfortable exam. 21,30

The Genius® 3D Mammography™ exam (a.k.a. Genius exam) is acquired on the Hologic® 3D Mammography™ system and consists of a 2D and 3D™ image set, where the 2D image can be either an acquired 2D image or a 2D image generated from the 3D™ image set. The Genius® exam is only available on the Hologic® 3D Mammography™ system.
